Captain America Early Thoughts (2011)

So the Captain America trailer has arrived, and it looks very impressive. From the old World War two settings, to the amazing transformation of Steve Rogers to "Captain America", it seems that this highly anticipated movie will live up to expectations this summer. Boasting a  strong cast including Chris Evans of Fantastic Four fame, Tommy Lee Jones, love interest Hayley Atwell, and Hugo 'Agent Smith' Weaving it seems that Captain America is firmly grounded in its comic book roots and has stayed true to the characters origins.

In the newly released trailer, we see a very brief appearance of the the Red Skull, and from what is shown does not dissapoint. As Rogers undergoes his transformation, one of the characters we are introduced to a young Howard Stark, future father of billionaire playboy Tony Stark who as Iron Man becomes a founding member of the Avengers. We also see the The Hydra in battle, but what is sure to capture everybody's attention is the Captain in his costume weiding the famous red, white and blue shield in combat. As many can agree, the costume was a worry for how it would turn out on screen but by the looks of it, it seems the producers have managed to pull it off. And have pulled it off well.

June 22nd is set to be the day we bear witness to the creation of the first avenger and if this is a sign of things to come, fans will be wanting to see a lot more of the first avenger.
